American Hepplewhite style demilune side-table, dating from the late 18th Century to the early 19th Century in cherry and figured cherry, having a “D”-shaped two-board top overhanging a cock-beaded frieze surfaced in figured cherry, on four tapering legs. Probably one end of a larger banquet table. Good overall condition with a mellow older reddish-brown finish. The top retains some shallow scratches beneath the finish, evidencing 200 years of use. Measures 29" tall, 48" wide and 24" deep.
